This is a lovely loop in the bush to the Old Barrington Quarry via the Blue Wren Ramble Trail in the Ellis Brook Valley Reserve, on the outskirts of Perth. The trail offers varied landscapes all the way through, which keeps things interesting. There are a few small streams and waterfalls on the way, as well as a rich fauna and flora. The open vistas on Perth in the distance are also lovely and can be admired for sunrise, sunset and even glowing in the dark at night.
