This is a great loop to Roseberry Topping and Captain Cook’s Monument near Great Ayton in the North York Moors National Park. The trail is moderate following footpaths and narrow tracks which can be rocky in some passages. The route begins a little uphill to the Captain Cook Monument to slowly come back down. The ascension of Roseberry Topping begins towards the middle of the circuit and is very manageable. The views on the surrounding areas at the top are lovely.
