A lovely loop hike starting close to the Chinese Settlement on the edge of Arrowtown, Otago. The views of the forest, river and nature are beautiful. The trail has a few steep passages and a few small streams crossing, but is still extremely doable. The small detour to German Hill offers wonderful views of Lake Hayes and Cecil Peak. The trail is easier if done anti-clockwise.
