The Kauaeranga Kauri Trail, also known as the Pinnacles Trail, is a there-and-back hike leading to the Pinnacles summit beginning at the end of Kauaeranga Road in the Coromandel Forest Park.

It's one of the most popular trail to undertake at night to experience the sunrise or sunset at the top (one can stay at Pinnacles Hut at night).

The track is good and gets rocky towards the end. The 360° view on the Coromandel Peninsula at the summit is extraordinary and the Billygoat lookout on the way offers great views on the Billygoat Falls.
