This is a great loop to ascend Mount Tammany in Worthington State Forest, New Jersey. The trail begins at the carpark right off the Christopher Columbus Highway and follows a relatively well maintained track (the blue and red dot trails) through the woods offering wonderful views on the valley and the Delaware River. The trail is on the more challenging side of moderate because of the steep ascent in the beginning in rocky terrain but is well worth the effort with magnificent views overlooking the Delaware/ New Jersey border.
