This is a great loop through the Ticknock Wood in the southern outskirts of Dublin. The trail is moderate and follows part of the Dublin Mountain Way, with a varied terrain, mixing roads, rocky and grassy trails, boardwalks, dirt tracks. The path goes lightly uphill passing the Three Rock Mountain and the Two Rock Mountain and then, at the mid-way point slightly goes downhill. The walk is very quaint and serene going through woodland and offering views on the city in the distance.
