This is a great there-and-back route to Djouce Mountain in the Wicklow Mountains National Park. The trail is moderate, combining narrow footpaths that can be a little rocky with boardwalks; it follows a section of the Wicklow Way (a longer trek route). The views are lovely along the path and moors to finally open on the vast plains below and Lough Tay in the distance. If the weather and visibility permit it, the walk is particularly spectacular at sunrise.
