This is a great loop around Lough Bray’s Upper and Lower lakes in the Wicklow Mountains National Park. The trail is moderate initially going downhill to steadily come back uphill all the way to Eagle’s Crag. The lakes create a calm and scenic setting as hikers follow a rocky path around. The terrain can become quite boggy following heavy rainfall. The views are scenic throughout, with ever changing perspectives on the lakes and opening on the surrounding valleys.
