This is a challenging and wonderful loop to the top of Cairngorm and the Northern Corries, in Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands. The trail is difficult with a relatively steep but regular gradient following a rocky footpath to the top of Cairngorm, and then plateaus on the ridge before coming back down with a descent gradient as well. The views of the surrounding mountains and Lock Avon are spectacular and well worth the effort. In spring, there are many wildflowers that add to the natural beauty of the walk.
