Departing from Kandersteg, this fabulous hike leads to the Oeschinensee, located at 1,578 meters above sea level. This mountain lake, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the largest alpine lakes. The route makes a loop, passing through pretty pastures and fir forests until you reach the lake.
Note that it is possible to take the Oeschinesee gondola to reduce the ascent/descent and that this path is inaccessible during the winter.
