This is a fantastic there-and-back hike along the Hieroglyphic Trail in the Superstition Wilderness Area, Arizona. The trail is short and easy following a rocky track with relatively low elevation gain. The canyon offers wonderful sights and there are some rock pools along the way. The petroglyphs that hikers will be able to admire along the way were drawn more than 1,500 years ago by the Hohokam people and add an amazing historical dimension to the trail.
