Mist Trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls

This is a great loop to explore two of Yosemite's most iconic waterfalls, Vernal and Nevada Falls. Often crowded due to its popularity, the Mist Trail offers a chance to witness the immense power and beauty of these cascading giants firsthand.

The journey begins at Happy Isles Trailhead, easily accessible by shuttle or a short walk from Curry Village. The trail initially follows the river, then begins to go uphill more steeply along stone steps and a footpath to Vernal Falls, and then goes to Emerald Pool and alongside Nevada Falls, culminating at the highest point of the hike. The route is just gorgeous views after gorgeous views and well-worth the effort.
