This is a great there-and-back hike to the Royal Arch beginning on the edge of Boulder, Colorado. The trail is on the more challenging side of moderate with some decent uphill to reach the Royal Arch and a particularly steeper passage along the Sentinel Pass. The terrain includes rocky steps and narrow footpaths to reach the top. The trail combines forest walk with epic views and great geological formation as well as city vistas of Boulder in the distance making it the perfect outing to escape the city bustle for a day.
