This is an incredibly beautiful there-and-back hike to Avalanche Lake, known for its vibrant blue waters, in Glacier National Park, Montana. The trail is moderate and well maintained. It begins on the Trail of the Cedars following a boardwalk under the canopy of the ancient cedar forest along a nice stream. Continuing along Avalanche Creek, the hike offers stunning vistas all the way to the incredible lake. The trail boasts abundant flora and fauna and is relatively manageable making it a great option for older kids as much as for experienced hikers.
