Discover this great loop to the famous Cheddar Gorge in Mendip Hills National Landscape (AONB). The trail is well-maintained and well-marked, beginning relatively steeply uphill then plateauing and finally progressively coming back down. The Cheddar Gorge is an impressive limestone geological formation adorned with caves that were used in prehistoric times. The views of the gorge and from it are breathtaking and really worth the effort.
