The sixth stage of the GR20 is the longest in terms of distance covered, with more than 24 kilometers. However, its profile is not very rugged and contrasts greatly with the previous days.
The trail begins by descending the Golu valley to the Radule sheepfolds, before progressing in the shade of a forest for several kilometres. It then climbs in tight switchbacks at Bocca San Pedru, then after passing the Bocca a Reta pass, descends towards Lake Nino.
All that remains is to cross the magnificent pozzines, and to pass the sheepfolds of Vaccaghia, to finally arrive at the refuge of Manganu.
