This is the stage containing the largest negative elevation of the GR20 with nearly 1,200 meters. However, it begins with a climb of more than 600 meters to the stop at Punta Muratello.
But after that, the path descends for a long time through the scree, then takes the footbridge of Turtettu before arriving at the pretty English waterfall. The stage ends on a wide track in the forest, up to Vizzavona.
Note that there is a more mountainous variant passing through Monte d'Oro.
