This is a great there-and-back hike to the top of Craigellachie passing by Loch Puladdern, beginning right in the town of Aviemore in Cairngorms National Park. The trail is moderate and relatively short passing by woodland, lakes and beautiful open landscapes. The path is well-maintained and moves from a lush wooded area to open moor and heath, which look especially lovely in spring with many blooming flowers.
