Very close to Denver, this is an incredibly beautiful there-and-back hike along the Mount Bierstadt Trail in the Mount Evans Wilderness, Colorado. The trail begins with a slight depression in terrain for the first 2 km but is difficult as it follows a steep uphill gradient after that to get to the summit along a rocky track. The views over the open landscape and the distant mountains which could have snowy peaks are simply marvelous and are a perfect way to escape the city bustle for a day.
