This is a superb and challenging there-and-back hike to summit Mount Storm King, near Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park, Washington. Under the lush old growth forest, the trail quickly starts to go uphill, with a descent gradient and becomes even steeper closer to the top, with some sections requiring hikers to hold onto ropes one at the time to facilitate the climb. The panoramas at the top are simply beautiful and far-reaching across the surrounding areas making the effort well worth it.
