This is a superb there-and-back hike along the Lower Portals in Mount Barney National Park. The track is moderate with some steeper passages and is generally well-maintained. On the way to the fantastic waterholes, the trail passes by Five Peaks Viewpoint and then follows Mount Barney Creek to the Lower Portals. The views on route are nice and the arrival at the creek makes it even more worth it. Snug amongst the rock, the Lower Portals are an amazing place to go for a swim and enjoy the natural beauty of the park.
