This is a beautiful walk to see High Cup Nick, an impressive and practically perfect U-shaped valley formed by a former glacier in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cumbria. Beginning in Dufton, the trail is challenging. It follows a gradually ascending path with a moderate gradient until the top where the route is steeper with a bit of a scramble required. The views over the valley are breath-taking and well-worth the effort. On the way down, hikers will pass Peeping Hill, a lovely addition to the natural beauty of the walk.
