This is a great and charming loop in the Peak District National Park from Ashford. The trail is moderate with well-maintained paths and some road walking. The route climbs gentle slopes for panoramic views of Upper Dale and the iconic Monsal Viaduct. It then descends to the tranquil River Wye, which is perfect for picnics and peaceful contemplation amidst verdant hills and Brushfield Hough's wooded splendour. The late spring's vibrant tapestry of bluebells, wild garlic, and playful lambs is a splendid sight. This moderate route offers a delightful blend of scenery, history, and nature's tranquillity.
