This is a lovely loop around Rivington Pike beginning at Rivington Hall just under an hour from Manchester. The trail is fairly simple with a moderate gradient and some relatively wide tracks. There are quite a few stair sections nonetheless. The scenery is lovely and varied; beginning in the forest, the hike then offers vast vistas of the surrounding plains.
