This is a great loop beginning in Horton-in-Ribblesdale to ascend Pen-y-ghent and pass by Hull Pot in the Yorkshire Dale National Park. The trail is moderate and well maintained. It is best completed anti-clockwise, leading to a bit of a scramble toward the summit, where the trail becomes much steeper but easier on the knees on the way down. The views at the top are well-worth the effort, overlooking the surrounding plains and hills. The Hull Pot is also a curious geological formation where a waterfall can form in times of heavy rain.
