This is a superb loop to the Roaches and Lud’s Church in the Peak District National Park. The trail is moderate, combining footpaths and rocky sections with regular uphills and downhills and a steeper section at the beginning. The trail can be very muddy and might require a bit of a scramble. The loop first passes by Hen Cloud, followed by the Roaches and Doxey Pool to finally arrive at Lud's Church, quite a few famous folklore landmarks. On the way the views from the ridge are lovely and there are many amazing rock formations along the way.
