This is a great loop in the Peak District National Park around Lud's Church and Gradbach. The trail is moderate, following narrow footpaths, with some stair sections and rocky passages. The route begins in the woods of Back Forest and rapidly leads to Lud’s Church, a deep chasm created by a landslip on the hillside above Gradbach. Walking through it feels magical with moss covering the stone and creating this lush and enchanting passageway. The route carries on to the Hanging Stone of the Roaches, an impressive singular boulder to then loop back along RIver Dane. Truly a beautiful hike!
