This is a great loop to Thor's Cave in the Peak District National Park. This is a moderate walk with regular uphills and downhills combining road and rocky trail paths; there is one steeper section a third of the walk in. The path can become muddy depending on the season.
Thor’s Cave is a unique limestone formation, where archaeologists found evidence of living dating back to the Palaeolithic era. The entrance of the cave nicely frames the surrounding area. The walk is quaint with beautiful vistas on the open fields and the hills around. In spring there are many wildflower that add to the beauty of the walk.
