This penultimate stage has a fairly low elevation, bypassing the Bavella massif via the Asinau valley. Landscapes are nevertheless superb, between the pretty pine forest and the spectacular red needles of Bavella.
At the Bavella pass, there are many shops (and tourists): it is therefore easy to get supplies.
Note that this stage presents an alpine variant passing through the heart of the Aiguilles de Bavella, accessible less than 3 kilometers after leaving the Asinau refuge. This one is very technical, close to the via ferrata, and is therefore reserved for experienced hikers.
