This stage presents the second highest elevation gain of the GR20, after the first day. But above all, it contains the highest point of the stay, at 2,607 meters above sea level. The path is then located at the Pointe des Eboulis, a short kilometer from the highest point in Corsica: Monte Cinto (2706 m). The view is of course exceptional.
Note that before 2015, this stage went through the Cirque de la Solitude, which is no longer signposted.
