This seventh leg passes by the summit of Finiels (1,699 m), which is both the highest point of the Stevenson path and of Mont Lozère. In very clear weather, it is possible to see the Alps, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Plomb du Cantal.
The descent to Pont-de-Montvert also offers lovely views of the Cévennes and Mont Aiguoual.
