This is a loop around the Balmoral cairns, dedicated to members of the British Royal Family in Cairngorms National Park, Aberdeenshire. The trail, beginning in Crathie, is moderate and well-maintained as it follows a beautiful track under the trees. The terrain can be muddy in times of rain. Most of the cairns along the way were erected by Queen Victoria to commemorate the weddings of her children, and are impressive stony monuments that add a historical dimension to the walk.
