This is a great and difficult there-and-back hike to the top of the Cobbler, also known as Ben Arthur, which offers breathtaking scenery and challenging climbs. The trail is well-maintained but can be muddy at times and involves stream crossings using stepping stones. The final ascent towards the south face involves a challenging scramble; the peak has three summits, with the middle one being the most demanding. Reaching it requires careful navigation and an exposed scramble through a narrow passage called the "Eye of the Needle." Hikers will be rewarded by spectacular views of Loch Lomond and the surrounding highlands all the way through.
