Nestled in the Pentland Hills Regional Park, this lovely loop summits two hills, Turnhouse and Carnethy whilst also passing by two reservoirs, the Loganlea and Glencorse, making it a great outing filled with beautiful landscapes. The track is on the more difficult side of moderate with some steep sections along the way especially in the first half of the hike, a decent gradient and sometimes muddy terrain. It follows a variety of tracks including tarmac roads, footpaths and rocky trails. The views on route are lovely and expansive across the rolling hill landscapes with natural falls and roaming sheep.
