This is a difficult walk up Ben Lomond, a popular Munro, which offers stunning panoramas of Loch Lomond, the surrounding hills, and the Trossachs a bit more than an hour away from Glasgow. The trail is challenging, zigzagging upwards, leading to the Ptarmigan Ridge. At the summit, hikers will be rewarded with breathtaking views (potentially including Ben Nevis on a clear day). On the way down, hikers should be careful along the summit ridge, which can be tricky due to steep slopes on both sides. Finally, the trail winds through beautiful woodlands before returning to the trailhead.
