This is a challenging there-and-back hike on the western slope of Table Mountain via Kasteelspoort. The trail is steep but relatively short and well maintained. At the top hikers will be surprised by the Diving Board rock formation, which is quite a famous spot for a photo, as the narrow rock towers over the city and the ocean in the distance. Getting on the rock needs to be done with utmost caution, if at all. The views of the city, the mountains and Camps Bay are breathtaking and really worth the effort.
