This is a great loop in the Newlands Forest via the Contour Path in the Table Mountain National Park. This is a great hike to escape the bustle of the city for the day on the eastern side of Table Mountain. The trail is moderate, combining boardwalks and footpaths with a steady uphill climb until half way (which is still very manageable) and then gradually comes back down and around. Through the lush forest, the hike offers wonderful vistas on the city and the mountains.
