This is a lovely and easy loop around Orrest Head in the Lake District National Park. This trail is well-maintained and well-marked, mostly following a gravel track with moderate gradient change. It begins by going slowly uphill alongside a small river with a great waterfall, followed by a progressive descent back to the beginning. The views from Orrest Head are superb and far-reaching when the visibility is high. Lake Windermere and the surrounding hills make for a fantastic panorama.
