Discover this scenic loop around Langsett Reservoir, nestled within the Dark Peak at the edge of the Peak District National Park. This route, beginning at the car park and picnic area, follows woodland paths to the water's edge, continues along the scenic banks, and crosses the Little Don River. While some steeper sections can be challenging, they will reward hikers with panoramic vistas. The trail traverses the moorland slopes, passing the bullet-scarred ruins of North America Farm, a remnant of wartime target practice. The trail can be crowded in summer.
