This is a challenging and wonderful loop around the Carrauntoohil Mountain and Devil's Ladder in County Kerry. The trail is steep and alternates uphills and downhills regularly which will be sure to keep hikers on their toes. The terrain varies a bit but includes many rocky sections and some scrambling. Nevertheless the views are well worth the effort, with far reaching vistas across mountains and lakes, rivers and waterfalls flowing energetically. Everywhere one looks seems straight out of a photo album!
