Here is a nice walk around Arlesheim. The route begins at the station and then quickly rushes into the forest, passing through the Arlesheim hermitage estate and Birseck castle. It then passes through small ponds and then joins a rocky ridge, where you can see the ruins of Dorneck Castle, an old medieval castle. You then have to return to the starting point via the Goetheaneum.
