The second stage of the GR70 is a little more difficult than the day before, and allows you to gain momentum.
The path begins by crossing the Gazeille, then several hamlets including Saint-Martin-de-Fugères, where the altitude of 1,000 meters is reached for the first time on the GR. The route continues through Goudet where the Loire forms steep gorges, before crossing numerous hamlets surrounded by farms and fields, to Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas.
