This stage of the GR70 goes up the Mimente valley by taking the old railway line linking Florac to Chamborigaud. The path crosses the village of Saint-Julien-d'Arpaon, then overlooks the Mimente gorges, whose clear waters are bewitching.
Note that the national road is never far away during this stage.
