This is a great there-and-back trail along Croagh Patrick Pilgrim Trail near Westport. The trail is relatively steep and the terrain is quite rocky and can become a little muddy at times. The trail gets particularly crowded on the last Sunday of July as many undertake a pilgrimage to the top. Croagh Patrick is 764 metres high and at the top the views are far reaching over the plains and the sea.
