This is a wonderful loop around Diamond Hill in Connemara National Park, just under an hour from Westport. The trail is moderate, combining boardwalks and paved tracks with a moderate incline, making it a pleasant walk. The views are spectacular throughout, on open and hilly pastures and grasslands with the sea and land meeting in the gulf in the distance. The trail can be quite busy with tourists in summer particularly.
